Wicked How-To’s

How to do weird stuff (and occasionally something useful)

About

I find random how-to stuff to write about and then do it: I usually lean towards weird and/or mad-scientist type stuff, funny stuff, pranks, or something I just think is really useful to know but there isn’t much information about out there. It’s really pretty arbitrary. I usually like to include videos because it’s likely that I can find someone else who knows way more about the subject at hand than I do and has put up a video on it–I never just post videos, though, this is not a splog, I do personally hand-write and publish everything (except for some older articles from ezinearticles.com, but it’s been over a year since I put anything from them up here).

Cheers,
Andrew

Hey there do you ever get asked about knots?
I’m an Arborist and teach people Knots to tie things down ,lift things up, and even emergency type knots/hitches for getting up or down if needed.

No, but I’m actually interested in knots (well, I was, I haven’t messed with them in a while), I might put some stuff up about them in the future…

    Hey Andrew,

If you feel like dusting off that Home Security How-to and making a vid, we have a how-to video contest that just launched: The How-to Video Challenge – http://www.howcast.com/videochallenge First prize is $2k and the judges include the producers of The Colbert Report, Top Chef and the editor of ReadyMade Magazine.

    Hi Andrew:

I see you’ve writen some product reviews (specifically the one for the Strip that Fat program) and I’d like to know if it’d be Ok for me to publish your article in my site (with all the proper credits, links and references, of course). I’m trying to compile reviews from different product users for my site, and yours would be very helpful.

If you link back to the original article, sure that’d be fine, go ahead.

    Thanks! I sure will.

    Hello Andrew,

I was recently visiting your site and saw you had a blog roll on the right hand side of your page.

Would it be possible for you to add my website?

My site is http://www.bigdreamsrealbudgets.com – Improvement Directory – features articles, resources, and more.

If you’d like, I will also add your website to mine – just let me know how you’d like your info posted and I’d be happy to do it.

Any help you can give me on spreading the word about the site would be great!

    Thanks,

    Anna .

Normally link exchanges are a bad idea (Google no likey), but your site is actually really good plus I think it’d be relevant to my readers since I do have a lot of home improvement stuff on here. Sure, I’ll do it. If you want to link to me you can just link to my homepage with the title of the site as the anchor text.

    Cheers,
    Andrew
