One of the most popular social networking sites on the Web, especially for teenagers and people under the age of 30 is called Myspace.com.


 Founded in 2003 by Tom Anderson and Chris DeWolfe, MySpace was acquired by Rupert Murdoch’s News Corporation via its $500 million purchase of parent company Intermix in 2005.

In 2008, there were more than 150 million users on MySpace.

One of the strongest attributes of MySpace is the fact that it helps build communities by allowing users to create a personal profile page, which can be enhanced with HTML code and turned into a multimedia Web page. MySpace users invite “friends” to create their own MySpace pages and so on, providing a chain of friends that, results in


the largest group of linked people on the Internet. For example, musicians post their music and videos, and artists show their paintings. Even political candidates use MySpace as a venue to air their opinions.

One of the most commonly searched key words/phrases on GOOGLE and YAHOO is the keywords: myspace proxy, unblock myspace and how to get on myspace at school such is the demand for the online service.
